Sorting of Strips

  • New/Replacement strip (ie: re-run strip; change of order)
    • Place a yellow “New Strip” sticker on the first and last pouch of the part of the strip that will cover the remaining week until the next batch. Place in appropriate jail’s “red” stat order basket; if their new batch has been sent over for the week, place the “New Strip” label on the first and last pouch of the strip, and also include it in the appropriate jail’s “red” stat order basket.
    • If the next week’s batch has not yet been sent out to the jail, take any remaining strip (meant to cover the next week’s batch), and place in the appropriate jail’s blue basket on the bottom shelf
  • Add Ons
    • Place an “Add On” sticker on the first and last pouch of the part of the strip that will cover the remaining week until the next batch. Place in appropriate jail’s “red” stat order basket.
    • For any remaining strip (meant to cover the next week’s batch), place in a tote and bring to the appropriate tech who will manually tape each pouch into the next week’s batch strip
  • Replacement Dose (ie - jail calls because either they have to replace a dose that they’ve used or lost, or they’ve lost a strip)
    • Place the blue and white “Replacement Dose” on the appropriate pouches
  • Release meds
    • Release Meds sticker at beginning and end of each strip
    • Wrap elastic around each strip
    • Place strips in white paper bag, labelled with Patient Name and Address sticker, red Release Meds sticker, and write down the ward if appropriate (Other than MRCC - write down “Central” on the bag)
    • Close bag with paper clip, and place in appropriate basket
  • Suboxone
